Maryna Jay – An Artistic Vision of Permanent Makeup and Aesthetic Dermopigmentation in Paris

Since 2015, I have dedicated myself to permanent makeup and aesthetic dermopigmentation as a true form of artistic expression, serving natural beauty, harmony, and self-confidence.

Trained by renowned European experts, I have refined my technique over the years, working on a wide range of procedures: lip pigmentation, eyebrow restructuring, scar camouflage, scalp dermopigmentation, and 3D areola reconstruction.

Ranked #2 in France and #6 worldwide in 2025 in the field of areola restorative dermopigmentation, I take great pride in delivering work of excellence – precise, artistic, and deeply human – carried out with respect for each person’s body and personal journey.

This path has allowed me to develop a demanding yet sensitive approach, centered on listening, respecting facial harmony, and enhancing the singular beauty of every person.

More than a technician, a skin artist

Each stroke, each shade, each line is designed with precision and sensitivity. I approach every treatment as a bespoke creation, guided by light, gaze, and emotion.

I believe in subtle, respectful aesthetics – enhancing without transforming, elevating without freezing.

Support – Transmission – Elevation

Technical excellence is not enough: I am committed to supporting every individual with kindness, whether in a beauty enhancement project or a post-medical journey.

And because I deeply believe in transmission, I now share my expertise through tailored private professional trainings (for 1 to 2 people) and real-life observation sessions.

Online trainings are also being developed to make this knowledge accessible to everyone.

My credo: revealing your natural beauty with accuracy, excellence, and gentleness.

See you soon,
Maryna Jay

FAQ

What is permanent makeup?

Permanent makeup (also called aesthetic dermopigmentation) is a gentle technique that involves implanting pigments into the upper layers of the skin.

It can correct, balance, or enhance the features of the face — brows, lips, eyeliner, etc. The result is long-lasting but fades gradually over time.

Most clients describe the sensation as similar to eyebrow tweezing or a light scratching feeling.

Results typically last between 1 and 3 years, depending on:

  • skin type,
  • the treated area,
  • lifestyle (sun exposure, skincare, etc.).

An annual touch-up is recommended to maintain the best result.

Yes. A follow-up session is included between 4 and 8 weeks after the first appointment. It allows us to:

  • adjust the color,
  • correct small areas that may have retained less pigment,
  • perfect the shape.

To optimize the result and reduce the risk of bleeding or discomfort:

  • Avoid alcohol, coffee, and blood-thinning medication within 24 hours of the session.
  • Avoid sun exposure and exfoliating treatments in the 7 days before.
  • Arrive well-hydrated, rested, and with no makeup on the area to be treated.
  • For lips: if you suffer from recurrent cold sores, a preventive lysine treatment is recommended.

Before every session, I provide personalized pre-care advice to prepare your skin and guarantee the best possible outcome.

Post-treatment care is essential for proper healing:

  • Do not wet or apply makeup on the area for 5 to 7 days.
  • Apply the healing cream provided or recommended.
  • Do not pick at scabs — they must fall off naturally.
  • Avoid sauna, steam rooms, swimming pools, and sun exposure for 2 weeks.
  • The color will appear darker at first, then lighten by 30 to 50%.

After each session, I give you a detailed aftercare protocol to ensure optimal healing and to preserve the beauty of your permanent makeup.

It is recommended to avoid intense physical activity for 4 to 5 days, as sweating may affect pigment retention.

Some contraindications exist, such as:

  • pregnancy or breastfeeding,
  • active skin conditions (eczema, herpes, psoriasis, etc.),
  • heavy medical treatments (chemotherapy, anticoagulants, etc.).

A preliminary consultation is always carried out to assess your situation and ensure the treatment is safe for you.

A traditional tattoo is permanent: ink is implanted deep into the skin to create a lifelong design.
Permanent makeup (also called dermopigmentation) uses special pigments placed more superficially. The result is natural-looking and aesthetic, gradually fading over 1 to 3 years, which allows adjustments to color and shape over time.

👉 In short: tattoo = decorative and permanent, permanent makeup = aesthetic, natural, and adaptable.

When performed by a trained professional, with:

  • sterile equipment,
  • REACH-certified pigments,
  • and strict hygiene protocols,

the risks are very low.

Possible minor side effects include:

  • slight redness,
  • temporary swelling,
  • light scabbing.

Infections are rare, but it is essential to carefully follow the aftercare instructions.
